Early Bird Breakfast Club

Early Bird Breakfast Club

Booking and Payment

Bookings must be made via the ParentMail booking system.  Please note that children cannot be accepted at the club unless booking and payment has been made in advanced. The cost of breakfast club is £3.50, unfortunately refunds can not be given due to absences.

Behaviour

Club members are expected to behave sensibly and politely at all times in line with the schools established behaviour policy, a copy of which is available here.  Where persistent issues of poor behaviour are evident parents and school staff will be spoken to in the first instance in an effort to remedy any problems.  The Early Bird staff reserve the right to exclude children from the club if their behaviour is considered inappropriate or unsafe.

Child Protection

School staff are governed by very clear rules about child protection and should act within procedures established by the local Safeguarding Board.

Timings

The club opens at 7.30am and children must not arrive before this time.  Breakfast is served until 8.15am. The session ends at 8.40am when children will be taken to their classroom.  If your child is unwell and unable to attend the club on a particular day, please phone the school office or email office@merleyfirstschool.org

Dropping Off

When dropping children off, please bring them into school via the main entrance.  Children must be checked in by an adult before you leave.

Food and Drink

Early Bird Club members will be offered toast and/or cereal and a fruit juice drink during the session. Please inform the school office of any allergies, dietary requirements or health issues of which they might need to be aware.  If you do not wish your child to have a drink or snack, please inform the club leaders when you drop them off.  Please note breakfast is only available until 8.15 am.

Activities

The Early Bird Club offers a variety of activities for the children including arts and crafts, games and reading in the hall area.
